Good Hope Hospital, Sutton Coldfield New Acute Medical Unit

The works consisted of stripping out 2 existing wards in the heart of the hospital building, a new ward and integrating them into an adjacent ward to create a new Acute Medical Unit.

After redesign work the project was able to start on site in January, 2015 with completion in October, 2015, culminating in an official opening by Princess Alexandra.

Daily meetings were held by our Site Management with the Hospital Estates Department to agree and liaise the progress of the building works to minimise noise and disruption to medical staff, patients and the public in such a sensitive location.

The works included considerable specialist M&E installations.  Out of hours working was often a necessity as a result of limited access to key locations.
