New Sports Hall

The construction of a new sports hall, changing rooms and classroom including store rooms and offices. The scheme also includes the refurbishment of an existing science classroom with associated landscaping and infrastructure works. The project was to replace the outdated 1930’s gym which had been in the pipelines for decades. Access to the site was restricted being at the rear of a busy school campus.

The official opening was a great day for the school as Olympic rower Katherine Grainger officially opened the new hall which is four times larger than the building it replaced. “There is no question, it has changed the life of the school and Greswolde has played an important part in that.” Commented Head Teacher Maggie Shackleton
